Introduction
Sandspit is the spreadsheet layer over Procore for PMs and PEs. Use these docs to understand where Sandspit runs, connect projects, work in grids, validate imported data, and sync reviewed updates back to Procore.

What is Sandspit?
Sandspit connects directly to your Procore account and presents project data in a spreadsheet-style workspace. Instead of jumping between projects, tools, PDFs, spreadsheets, and Procore pages, you can review records in one place, make focused updates, and keep Procore as the system of record.
Key Features
- Spreadsheet Workspace — Review Procore data in a fast, sortable grid
- Where Sandspit Runs — Work in the web app, Procore embedded app, Procore side panel, or Excel add-in
- Multi-Project Views — Work across projects without opening one Procore tab per job
- Bulk Operations — Update records and respond to workflows in batches
- Staging — Review imported PDF or spreadsheet data before it becomes Procore data
- Validation — Catch vendors, contracts, budget codes, dropdowns, required fields, and setup issues before sync
- Advanced Filtering — Create and save views for the work your team checks every day
- Procore Sync — Push reviewed changes back to Procore
How It Works
Sandspit uses Procore's API and project permissions to import the projects and records you already have access to. Once connected, you can work where the job fits best: full web app for broad review, embedded Procore app for project-context workflows, side panel for focused cleanup, or Excel add-in for change-event preparation.
- Connect your Procore account — Authenticate with OAuth 2.0 for secure access
- Import your projects — Select which projects to bring into Sandspit
- Start working in the grid — Filter, edit, stage, validate, and review records in a spreadsheet-style interface
Procore remains the source of truth. Sandspit gives your team a faster working layer for change event imports, Excel intake, submittal and RFI grids, saved views, validation, and sync review.
